How to place an order

 

On the Sea Bead homepage there is a tab with a link to my Etsy shop page. Here you can purchase any item in the collections, provided it is in stock. You will need an Etsy account to make any purchases but it's free and only takes 2 minutes to sign up. 

 

​Is each Sea Bead item unique? 

 

Each Sea Bead item, dependent on which beach the sand was collected from, follows the same bead pattern. However, due to the nature of the material used and the method utlized to make the sand bead, each sand bead is unique in it's colour and shape. Furthermore, as the rest of the beads used in the pieces are acquired via a seperate stockist, these may also vary slightly if a particular item is temporarily unavailable. This does mean however, that no two Sea Bead items are the same, making it a truly individual piece to add to your collection. 

 

How do I take care of my Sea Bead jewellery? 

 

Your sand beads have been treated with a water repellent finish which drys to form a solid, sturdy bead.  However, please do not overexpose to wet conditions. If this occurs, please allow your item to dry at room temperature for 24 hours before you resume wearing it. 

 

What makes Sea Beads different from other jewellery that incorporates sand into its design? 

 

When researching how to include sand in jewellery, I found that there are quite a few jewellery designers/makers who use sand by capturing it in resin, or placing it inside a glass pendant. I've also seen sand pressed onto ready made beads or metal. Sea Beads incorporates neither of these techniques. Every Sea Bead is made entirely of sand and is handcrafted over a period of four days, before being complemented with a selection of beads made of semi precious, glass and acrylic materials.
