This delicate necklace is made partly with sand collected from Portmarnock Beach, Dublin.
The rest of the beads are used to complement the sand bead and represent the natural surroundings of Portmarnock.
Sodalite (also known as the poet's stone) is a gemstone used to represent the breaking of the waves at the surface.
Blue and yellow Preciosa Czech glass beads are used to depict how the strip of beach (known as the velvet strand) is nestled in between the sea and the grassy dunes.
Preciosa Czech pressed glass beads are included in every Sea Bead piece to capture the shifting colours of water.
Wire chain approx. 210 mm with 70 mm extension and end charm.
Presented in a Sea Bead gift box.
